Questions, answered calmly

Steady Ground is an educational starter kit for adult women navigating their own compulsive or hard-to-steer porn use. Here’s what it is—and what it isn’t—without hype.

By continuing, you confirm you are 18 or older. Education & self-reflection—not therapy or a cure.

What Steady Ground is / isn’t

What is Steady Ground?

A practical digital starter kit ($37) for women 18+ who want private self-reflection tools: urge mapping, a panic-button bridge for spikes, a non-shame relapse debrief, values/boundaries worksheets, a wallet crisis card, a therapist share sheet, and a referral list. Shame-safe, women-first, secular by default.

What isn’t it?

Not psychotherapy or counselling. Not a medical device. Not a diagnosis. Not “rewire in 7 days.” Not an addiction cure. Not NoFap culture, scare stats, or a religious program in secular clothing. Not primarily for partners whose main need is betrayal-trauma recovery (that deserves specialised support; this kit centres self-use).

Who is it for?

Adult women (18+) navigating their own compulsive, dysregulated, or hard-to-steer porn use who want awareness tools they can use privately—without streak-shame or “just stop” as the whole plan. You don’t need a diagnosis, a rock bottom, or anyone else’s permission.

Is this for anyone under 18?

No. Steady Ground is adults 18+ only. By downloading or purchasing, you confirm you are 18 or older. We do not create or market materials for minors.

Education, not therapy

Is this therapy?

No. It’s education and self-reflection. Many people use tools like these alongside therapy. Only a licensed clinician can assess, diagnose, or treat. If you need clinical support, that’s the right next step— our referral list points toward care, it doesn’t replace it.

Do you claim to cure addiction or compulsive use?

No. We make no cure, treatment, or guaranteed-outcome claims. The kit helps you notice patterns and practice small bridges (like urge surfing). Direction and dignity matter more than streak theatre.

What if I’m in crisis?

Stop self-help worksheets and get real help. Contact local emergency services immediately. International Association for Suicide Prevention resources: iasp.info/suicidalthoughts.

I’m religious — can I still use this?

Yes. The default is secular. Values worksheets include an optional faith/meaning section without bait-and-switch. Faith-based peer resources in the referral list are clearly labelled.

I don’t think I have trauma. Is this still for me?

Yes. Trauma is optional context—not a required origin story. You don’t have to invent one to take your patterns seriously.

Free Mini Urge Map vs $37 kit

What’s free?

The 5–7 Day Mini Urge Map—a short private worksheet to notice when, where, and why urges show up. Download: mini-urge-map.pdf · or the free page · optional calm notes via Buttondown.

What’s in the $37 kit?

Day Zero onboarding, 14-Day Urge & Trigger Map, Panic Button + ~10-min listen-along audio, Relapse Debrief, Values & Boundaries, wallet crisis card, therapist share sheet, referral list, and a clear disclaimer. One-time digital download—no subscription. See pricing on the home page (checkout live via Stripe — free map still available).

Do I need the kit if I have the free map?

No. Stay with the free map if it’s enough. The kit is for people who want more structure in one place. We won’t pretend you “failed” for not upgrading.

What’s the refund policy?

7-day refund: If the files won’t open, you received the wrong item, or it’s clearly not a fit after a fair look, email within 7 days of purchase for a simple refund. No humiliation rituals.

Is this only for lifelong abstinence?

No. The tools help you understand patterns and choose boundaries that match your values— whether your aim is reduction, pauses, or quitting. We don’t police your endpoint.

Privacy & trust

Do I have to disclose to a partner to use this?

No. Privacy is allowed. Partner conversation notes in the kit are optional, paced, and boundaried— never framed as a loyalty test.

What data do you collect?

The site is intentionally light: if you subscribe via Buttondown, they store the email you provide so we can send notes (unsubscribe anytime). Stripe handles the Payment Link charge. We don’t invent surveillance features, and we don’t ask for graphic journals to be uploaded. Prefer tools you keep on your own device.

Do you have testimonials?

Not inventing any. Early users’ stories will be shared only with consent and without sensational framing.
