Weekday midday pocket

A short companion for adult women (18+) when a mid-day empty pocket shows up—bathroom break, lunch alone, cancelled meeting, scrolling gap—and the phone is already the easiest door. Local checkboxes only. Nothing is saved or sent.

Education & self-reflection—not therapy, not a medical device, not a cure.

Still mid-spike? Use urge bridge, body reset, or phone gap first. Already used and the day continues? Try aftercare or continuity. First open block of the day? See morning. Open weekend hours? See soft start. After work? See evening. This page is for a mid-day empty pocket—not a morning plan and not a night protocol.

1) Name the empty pocket (30 seconds)

Say or write one line. Borrow if needed:

“This is a between-tasks gap. Emptiness mid-day is a setup—not proof I lack willpower.”

2) Body basics before the feed

3) One piece of soft friction

Pick one—temporary edge for this pocket, not a lifelong ban:

  • Phone face-down / in a bag / on the other counter for the next ten minutes
  • Brightness down · logout of the usual app · clear the usual tab
  • Stay upright at a table / kitchen counter (not slumped into the loop posture)

4) Pre-decide the next ordinary ten

Before the screen suggests a path:

5) Optional 2-minute map glance

Only if it will not turn into prosecution. One line is enough:

  • When / where / device (bathroom, desk, car, lunch alone)
  • Feeling or need-guess (boredom, loneliness, flatness, stress drop, hunger)

6) Know where the bridge lives

Searching mid-spike is its own trap. Tick what you’ve placed:

7) If the wave still comes—or already did

A charged midday pocket does not require day-zero theatre. Use what fits:

When you’re done

Return to the living day. A soft-edged midday still counts as a day in progress. If shame starts a second spiral, reopen aftercare or continuity. For the first open block tomorrow, try morning. For a quieter week checklist, try 7 quiet days.
